LOVE Cake

So in honor of being "cost-concious" around Valentine's Day, I bought white cake mix for $3.00 and used leftover cake materials from my World Series Cupcakes (I made Phillies cupcakes for my boyfriend).

And last night I used the remaining frosting from the cupcakes, and the sprinkles that came with the frosting for the "LOVE cake"!

Here's the "naked" cake with some cupcakes I made with extra batter.

And with the frosting applied...

And I gotta add the sprinkles (candy's version of sparkles)

And finally the "LOVE"! I had icing left over from making the "P" on the cupcakes, and I felt like writing something on the cake!

Very yummy!

Distraction

Sorry. Had to go off on a tangent just then. I have totally been cravin’ me some frosting/icing ALL day long.

Don’t they just look yummy? Of course this picture appears on the cusp of me trying to eat better and save money. Riiiiight.

I want to just run out and make homemade cupcakes and icing and call in sick tomorrow and just enjoy! :-) (Which, of course, as a responsible adult I won’t do!)

But still…one can wish!
